Online Portfolio Development Workshops for International Art and Design Students.
|
All UK art, design or media production courses require applicants to provide some form of portfolio of work as part of their application submission. These four workshops are designed to help you prepare and select your work and present it in a form that most effectively demonstrates your individual creative ability, your skills and your potential.
|
|
|
We recognise that every student is different and so each workshop will be tailored to suit your specific needs; you will be personally guided via on-line tutorials and real-time webmeetings. |

Review PD2
This review is for students who already have their portfolio in digital format or who have completed the ARTedUK workshop PD1.
The purpose of the review is to assess the portfolio against the criteria that will be used by the university when considering the application. The requirements will vary according to the subject, course and level of study.
The feedback from this review will enable students to identify where their portfolio is likely to meet the criteria and where further action is recommended.
Students wishing to enrol for workshops PD3 and PD4 must first complete this review

Workshop PD3
Your portfolio needs to be more than a collection of your best work! It should provide a narrative about you as a creative individual.
This workshop helps you structure your portfolio, presenting the work so that it demonstrates your individuality, showing your ability to develop original ideas through personal research.
The workshop focuses on the need for your portfolio to ‘speak for you’ particularly if you are not attending the interview in person. It will include the preparation of short written statements that will help put the work into context.
|
|
Workshop PD4
This workshop takes students through the stages of creating an online portfolio.
By the completion of this workshop you will have prepared and optimised your images, written the supporting text and uploaded your work to the portfolio website.
Completed portfolios will be hosted on ARTedUK's student portfolio website where they can be viewed by your selected universities' admissions tutors.
